Exclusively for Lane Crawford’s 170th-anniversary collection, Thom Browne has reimagined 17 suits from his archive through hand-embroidered patches. “I’ve had a relationship with Lane Crawford for almost 15 years. The idea was to take my classic grey suit idea and interpret it into a special collection of 17 suits for the 170-year celebration”, says designer when asked to elaborate on how the collection was conceived.
This suit is hand-embroidered with patches of 20th-century American sports teams and finished with distressed elements on its front and back. A bicolour border traces the notched lapels and pockets of the blazer, while its striped lining reveals the designer's signature and a serial number that reads 'NO. 2 of 17' handwritten by the designer himself.
